Village Warden

Due to the retirement of the present Village Warden, there is now a vacancy for this post. The role is part time, for 2 hours each week, worked on a flexible basis.  The salary for the post is £12.85 per hour (£1,336 per annum)

The Warden is responsible for the tidiness and general upkeep of the village including emptying litter bins, general litter clearance, minor repairs, installing new litter bins and seats and even carefully washing the War Memorial to ensure it looks in great condition prior to Remembrance Sunday.  Visual inspection of the play equipment is also part of this role for which training will be given.

The successful candidate must be reliable, capable of carrying out the work needed and, given the nature of the work, be prepared to spend much of the time outdoors.

The role is available from 1 April 2025.
